I'm not sure if I'm on-track here, so please holler if I'm off, but here
are some confirming points if that's of use, Carol:

-- Flash uses the nested OBJECT/EMBED structure, because it can be played
both by Netscape plugins and by ActiveX Controls.

-- QuickTime needs only the EMBED, because QuickTime only uses Netscape
plugins.

-- The HTML 4.0 spec has a new and powerful definition of the OBJECT tag,
but the existing mass of IE/Win browsers uses the OBJECT tag in a different
way. (ie, the spec and the browsers will not meet for some time to come.)

-- Apple's info about EMBED tag attributes for QuickTime content is at:
  http://www.apple.com/quicktime/authoring/embed.html

If the core is "Do I need an OBJECT tag for QTVR content?" then no, just
the EMBED should do it. If the issue is actually something else then please
advise, thanks.
